Jump'n Java's Background

Jump'n Java Agility is owned and operated by Anne Kajava. Anne has a background in International Marketing and Hi-tech, with a Masters degree in International Policy Studies. After having travelled extensively, Anne's life "went to the dogs" 10 years ago when she moved from Japan back to the U.S. She adopted her first dog (ever), Olaf, from the Humane Society Silicon Valley. Olaf went on to be the first Bearded Collie in the U.S. to earn an Agility Dog Championship (ADCH) title and has earned the Lifetime Achievement Award (LAA) Bronze title from USDAA.

Since then, Anne has successfully competed with a variety of different breeds. She currently competes in both AKC and USDAA. She qualified for the AKC World Team Tryouts in 2005 with her Sheltie, Skye, and has been both a finalist and semifinalist in the USDAA Nationals. Anne also competes with her Border Collie, Mercury, and has a young Sheltie in training, Manja.

Anne began her agility training at the renowned Power Paws Agility in San Jose, CA. She instructed there for 3 years before going on to teach independently and form Jump'n Java Agility. Anne's students includes dogs and handler teams of various breeds, drive and skill levels.
