Jump'n Java's
Background
Jump'n Java Agility
is owned and operated by Anne Kajava. Anne has a background in International Marketing
and Hi-tech, with a Masters degree in International Policy Studies. After having
travelled extensively, Anne's life "went to the dogs" 10 years ago when
she moved from Japan back to the U.S. She adopted her first dog (ever), Olaf,
from the Humane Society Silicon
Valley. Olaf went on to be the first Bearded
Collie in the U.S. to earn an Agility Dog Championship (ADCH) title and has earned
the Lifetime Achievement Award (LAA) Bronze title from USDAA.
Since then, Anne
has successfully competed with a variety of different breeds. She currently competes
in both AKC and USDAA.
She qualified for the AKC World
Team Tryouts in 2005 with her Sheltie, Skye, and has been both a finalist and
semifinalist in the USDAA Nationals.
Anne also competes with her Border Collie, Mercury,
and has a young Sheltie in training, Manja.
Anne began her agility
training at the renowned Power
Paws Agility in San Jose, CA. She instructed there for 3 years before going
on to teach independently and form Jump'n Java Agility. Anne's students includes
dogs and handler teams of various breeds, drive and skill levels.
